Established in 2000, Aditya Educational Society(AES) made a mark in the history of Srikakulam through the Medical College GEMS & Hospital. Though a herculean task, Dr. K. Sudheer & Dr. M.M.Vilekar took the challenge of leading the dedicated team to bring forward the Medical School. The Divine blessings of Sri Jayendra Saraswathi added to the unstinted hard work and sacrifice of the leaders of AES. The Initiative of Dr. Bollineni Bhaskara Rao, Chairman, KIMS Group Of Hospitals, to take GEMS & Hospitals into his hands heralded the beginning of a new era. The so called highly backward & neglected District now has a face change.

The undaunted efforts of Sri. S. Ram Mohan along with Sri. B. Adwik brought forth the present scenario of Advance Medical and Health services to the door step of the Srikakulam population and quality Medical Education to the aspiring students. Here we go with 150 UG & 110 PG students per year transforming GEMS & Hospital into a Tertiary Care Health Centre. Churning out a phenomenal number of high-end Procedures and Surgeries including Kidney transplantations in GEMS is a hall mark of the last decade. An Advanced Cancer centre is established for a Cancer free Srikakulam District.

Sri. B. Adwik, Chief Executive Officer taking over the reins of GEMS & Hospital, elevated its stature to one of its kind setting new bench mark in Academics and Patient Management. Radical reforms in the functioning of GEMS Hospital made highly impossible to definite possible with around 55 Kidney Transplants and 30 Liver Transplants in a very short span of time. Robotic Surgery facility is a feather in the cap of GEMS. IVF, Cancer screening, Super specialty services, are now available even to the common man.

The incredible surgical training of the students accorded the accreditation of Royal College of Surgeons of England to the Institute, the one and only Medical College with such a reverence in the country. Villages and Family adoption by the Medical students to render the required Medical services and educating the families on quality life are few among many virtuous endeavors of the Institute. The Vision of Dr. B. Bhaskara Rao and Sri. B. Adwik to transform GEMS into an Institute of Academic and Clinical excellence and a Destination for Health Care needs in the entire East coast of India is highly inspiring and magnificent. Now the team of GEMS & H is briskly & enthusiastically moving forward with the Medical college evolving into a University with all its allure and enticement.
